We proudly present our Malachite Chess Set Made In Guatemala South America. This chess set comes with a wooden base for the malachite tile board and within the wooden base there are 2 lined drawers to store the chess pieces. The drawers come with hand carved malachite drawer fronts and at the point of each corner of the board there is a Malachite Aztec God as a support piece. The board itself is Malachite tiles with the Aztec calendar hand carved to cover the alternating colored and white tiles. The set pictured is a blue and white set. These sets also are available in black, brown, and green. Each chess piece is shaped as an Aztec King, Queen, Holy Men, Rearing Horses, and Aztec Pyramids, and the Pawns in this set are Aztec Soldiers. The white pieces are shaped as a Spanish King, Queen, Holy Men, Rearing Horses, and Castles, the Pawns are the Conquistadors. The Pawns in this set stand 4" high the Bishops, Knights, and Rooks all stand 4 1/2" tall and the Kings and Queens stand 5" tall this is an absolutely beautiful handcrafted chess set that would add to any chess set collection or enhance any room decor.
